Council need to carry out resurfacing at Kilmacanogue 1916 Carpark – Cllr Mick Ryan Sinn Féin

Wicklow Sinn Féin Cllr and local election candidate, Mick Ryan, has been in contact with Wicklow County Council to request resurfacing works be carried out in the car park at Kilmacanogue. The current surface is only temporary and needs to be resurfaced before it deteriorates any further.

Ryan said:

“The carpark in Kilmacanogue, known locally as the 1916 carpark by locals, is an amenity in the area. Offering a safe parking spot for parents dropping kids off at school, and walkers in the area at the weekend.

Unfortunately, the surface has deteriorated significantly over time, and is now in need of resurfacing. If work is not carried out in the near future, the surface will continue to rapidly decline, leading inevitably to safety risks for users.

I am calling on Wicklow County Council to commit to carrying out a resurfacing of the carpark area as soon as possible to ensure that the locals in Kilmacanogue can utilise the carpark to its full potential without fear of safety issues.”
